Pedigree dog food with ground corn

Although most dog food brands, today, are stating that they are
grain free, the dog is a meat and grain eating animal and generally
don't digest fruits and vegetables as the human needs. The ground
corn that is used in some dog foods actually helps keep the dog
healthier and is especially needed for breeding females. Corn is a
grain and not a vegetable and if using corn it should be the ground
corn that is in some of the dog foods and not whole kernal corn
that the human would eat.
NEVER USE LAMB
NO TABLE SCRAPS
NO DOG BISCUITS OR OTHER DOGGIE JUNK FOOD
DOGS SHOULD NEVER BE GIVEN:
CHOCOLATE, RAISINS, GRAPES, NUTS
Add pure unflavored cod liver oil or fish oil
Small dogs:  1/2-1 tsp. liquid cod liver oil or 1 capsule  a day
Medium dogs: 2 tsp. cod liver oil or 2 capsules a day
Large dogs:1 tbls. cod liver oil or 3 capsules a day

If your dog isn't used to any oils in its food, start out with just
a drop or 2 and work it up to the desired amount, so that
he/she won't get diarrhea.
REFRIGERATE THE COD LIVER OIL AFTER OPENING
Divide the cod liver oil into the number of meals being fed per day
Example:  If the dog is eating twice a day, put 1/2 of the daily amount in each meal.
You may add warm water to the food so that additives
will stick to the food better. Let the food sit for several
minutes until the water is absorbed into the food.  Keep
in mind that the food will double (or more) in size when
all the water is absorbed. This occurs in the stomach as
well. Watch the weight on your dog and don't over feed.
I like to alternate feeding the food wet and dry.  The
dry  food helps keep the teeth cleaner.
