| Add pure unflavored cod liver oil and brewers yeast powder Small dogs: 1/2-1tsp. cod liver oil & 1/2 tsp. brewers yeast a day Medium dogs: 2tsp.cod liver oil & 1 tsp. brewers yeast a day Large dogs:1tbls. cod liver oil & 1 1/2 tsp. brewers yeast a day If your dog isn't used to any oils in its food, start out with just a drop or 2 and work it up to the desired amount, so that he/she won't get diarrhea. |
| REFRIGERATE THE COD LIVER OIL AFTER OPENING |
| Divide the cod liver oil and the brewers yeast into the number of meals being fed per day Example: If the dog is eating twice a day, put 1/2 of the daily amount in each meal. |
| You may add warm water to the food so that additives will stick to the food better. Let the food sit for several minutes until the water is absorbed into the food. Keep in mind that the food will double (or more) in size when all the water is absorbed. This occurs in the stomach as well. Watch the weight on your dog and don't over feed. I like to alternate feeding the food wet and dry. The dry food helps keep the teeth cleaner. |
